Function: The primary function of the 4055561353 hotplate trim support ring is to securely center, support, and seal an 6-inch radiant coil element. It provides the following:

• Element Stabilization: It provides a rigid, level ledge for the heavy heating element to sit on.
• Liquid Deflection: The raised lip and sloped profile channel minor boil-overs away from the internal wiring underneath the cooktop glass or metal chassis.
• Cosmetic look: It bridges the physical gap between the raw edge of the cooktop enamel cutout and the circular heating element, giving the appliance a clean, finished appearance.
• Heat Management: It acts as a thermal barrier, absorbing direct heat expansion from the element to prevent the main enameled stove panel from warping or cracking over time.
